How to become pilot after 12th science and which college should I join.

A Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is a qualification that allows you to act as a Pilot in Command or PIC of a single pilot aircraft or as co-pilot of a multi-pilot aircraft.

The basic requirements to obtain the CPL license are published by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). However, the actual courses in flight training programs vary from country to country, based on the National Aviation Authorities (NAA).

The educational qualification is 10+2 or equivalent with 55% marks in Physics and math’s individually for General Category candidates and 50% marks individually in Physics and Maths for SC/ST/OBC candidates. All candidates must have passed English at 10+2 level as one of the subjects. Candidates should appear for Written Entrance Examination and Pilot Aptitude Test, followed by the final selection by an interview board comprising of representatives from industry bigwigs like NACIL, DGCA, Psychologist and IGRUA examiners.

Although candidates with less than 17 years may be permitted to undergo selection process but they must not be less than 17 years before joining the course.

Many of institute offer courses in Aviation for Commercial Pilot Training such as Commercial Pilot License (Certificate IV in Aviation), Diploma in Aviation, B.Sc. in Aviation, etc.
